We are looking for a friendly and hard-working Lunch Support to join our nursery team based at Chestnut Nursery School The Diamond Centre.

The Diamond Centre is a thriving nursery where no day is ever the same!

This is a part-time role working Monday to Friday, 25-30 hours per week, all year round.

The successful applicant will need to have understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) and have a strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning. As Lunch Support you are a key member of the nursery team, working closely with the families who access the nursery and delivering high quality care and learning opportunities.

Key Duties

• To heat, prepare and serve food across the rooms which is received from an outside provider.

• Maintain food hygiene regulations and records.

• Keep a clean and ordered kitchen.

• Follow children's dietary requirements.

• Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times.

• Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy.

• Flexible in working hours if required.

• Support daily routines.

• Follow policies and procedures.

• Light cleaning duties.

• Maintain a high level of supervision.

• Maintain confidentiality.

Position Requirements

Required

• DBS will be undertaken.

• Child-centred approach to play and learning.

• Food hygiene L2 (training provided).

• Good communication skills, written and verbal.

• Excellent organisation skills and time-management.

• Knowledge & understanding of safeguarding (training provided).

Desired

• On the update service.

• Qualified Level 2+.

• In date food hygiene L2.

• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS).
