We are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working Nursery Manager to join our nursery team based at Chestnut Nursery School Chesterton.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, following a shift pattern. Chesterton is open between the hours of 08:00 - 18:30.

The successful applicant will need to be able to lead a team, have understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) and have a strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning. As a Manager you are a key member of the nursery team, working closely with the families who access the nursery and ensuring the delivery of high quality care and learning opportunities.

Key Duties

• Meeting deadlines, delegation skills, decision skills, working under pressure.

• Administration, fees, budgeting, planning ahead.

• Supporting teamwork and developing others.

• Be reliable and flexible in working hours if required.

• Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy.

• Maintain confidentially with a sound level of GDPR regulations.

• Promote and support positive relationships with parent, children and colleagues.

• Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all service users at all times.

Position Requirements

Required

• 2 years+ experience.

• DBS will be undertaken - On the update service.

• Child-centred approach to play and learning.

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

• Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS).

• Qualified Level 3.

• Previous management experience for 10+ individuals.

• Excellent knowledge & understanding of safeguarding.
